Initial Period
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and get to know each other. It will be a
space for you to ask any questions you may have about me or the counselling process
and to talk about what brings you to counselling – and also what you would like to get
from the counselling. At the end of this session we may then decide to work together and
continue with further sessions, or you may want to think it over for a few days.
My fees are 80 euros for a 50 minute session.
Payment in cash or by cheque.
Confidentiality
Obviously all sessions are confidential to allow for the creation of a safe space to talk.
However (as with all BACP counsellors) I have regular supervision sessions so as to
maintain the effectiveness and professionalism of my work. While I do discuss the
content of my client work with my supervisor essential details such as names are
changed.
Working together weekly & Cancellation Policy
I like to work, where possible, through weekly sessions so as to establish a rhythm and
momentum to our work together. Once a decision has been made to go ahead I will
guarantee a regular weekly session. However there will of course be times when we
cannot make a session. I will give a month’s notice of any absences on my part which
will interrupt our sessions.
Similarly, I ask that you give me at least a weeks notice that you will not be able to make
a session. If the notice is less that a week I will charge for the missed session – although
if possible I will offer you an alternative time so that the session can go ahead in that
week.
Ending
You can decide to stop therapy whenever you want, we will then spend at least 1 more sessions to review and end the work we have done together.
